New legal entity in South Korea: SAP Fioneer strengthens presence in Asia
Walldorf/Seoul, Feb 23, 2023 – SAP Fioneer, a software specialist for the financial services industry, announced today the establishment of its newest legal entity in South Korea. The fourth legal entity in the region and 17th globally moves SAP Fioneer forward in its ambition to become a global leader.
“South Korea is a strong insurance market with growth potential also for our finance and banking products”, says Ken Ishiura, Managing Director at SAP Fioneer, responsible for the Insurance business and Japan & Korea region. “We already have a major insurance client in the market, thanks to our partnership with SAP. The establishment of a separate legal entity is an important strategic move to help us build on a strong beginning and get closer to other major players and financial services companies generally in South Korea.”
SAP Fioneer already has offices and legal entities in Japan, Singapore, and India, with many clients in these and multiple countries across the region, including Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance in Japan, Tune Insurance in Malaysia, and a major international bank in Singapore.
SAP Fioneer appointed Snow Won as Country Manager for South Korea. She has been focusing on the financial industry through her extensive experience at several global software and solution providers and will be reporting to Ken Ishiura.
