SAP Fioneer announces management changes
Published on: 12 January 2026
Walldorf, Germany – January 12, 2026 – Having completed its fourth consecutive
year of revenue and profit growth, SAP Fioneer will further strengthen its focus on
new business growth in markets across the globe. To this end, we align our
organization and governance with the key markets we serve, organizing our business
in four global divisions: Banking, Lending, Insurance and Finance. Each division
assumes full end-to-end responsibility for relevant customers, products and services
and will be managed by a dedicated divisional leadership team. Group management
will be consolidated in a Group Executive Committee comprising all Division and
Group Function leaders.
Matthias Tomann, currently Chairman of SAP Fioneer, will join the executive board of
the company and assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of
the Group Executive Committee.
Frank Krings, currently Vice Chairman of SAP Fioneer, joins the executive board as
the group’s new President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Krings, former CEO
for Western Europe of Deutsche Bank Group among other roles, brings extensive
expertise in driving growth and governance, and building long term client
partnerships.
Dirk Kruse, who served as the company’s CEO since its inception in 2021 and
successfully guided the carve-out from SAP as well as the first corporate chapter of
SAP Fioneer, decided to pursue outside interests. We are grateful for his contribution
and thank him for his service.
