Nationwide Building Society and SAP Fioneer UK are excited to announce the launch of a groundbreaking talent partnership that will develop and enrich early talent representing both organizations to be the future experts of SAP Fioneer software solutions that enable Nationwide’s business and technology imperatives.
“Investing in our people and our strategic partnerships is hugely important to Nationwide and to me personally, I am therefore very excited about the joint investment we are making with SAP Fioneer. We continue to build the workforce we need both now and, in the future, so hiring and nurturing talent is of paramount importance for Nationwide, as we embark on the most significant period of change the Society has ever seen”, says Otto Benz, Customer Technology & Payments Director at Nationwide Building Society.
This unique collaboration will leverage the combined expertise of two industry leaders to enhance learner skills and deliver solutions to meet the evolving needs of Nationwide and its customers. The venture will foster knowledge sharing, innovation, and focus on common goals through a purpose-built learning and hands-on curriculum.
Nationwide and SAP Fioneer will each contribute half the cohort of the 12-month programme. Initially this will be 10 early-career talents, with a second cohort joining in September, followed by two further groups annually. After an intensive 5-week induction of learning across business, functional and technical domains, the team members will be assigned to active workstreams to apply their knowledge, enrich their skills, and deliver value.
“Working closely with our most strategic customers is a key part of our ethos at SAP Fioneer and what better way to enable that then to jointly develop young talent. I really believe this is a wonderful opportunity to learn both technology and business needs in parallel. I’m thrilled and extremely grateful to the Nationwide team to be able to support this program”, adds Charlie Platt, Managing Director at SAP Fioneer.
